Everything you want to know about how we work, what we charge, and what to expect when you call Clearwater Appliance.

Scheduling & Service
In most cases, we can schedule a visit same day or next morning — depending on our current schedule and your location. Refrigerator and freezer calls are treated as emergencies and receive priority scheduling. Call us at (813) 900-3472 and we'll tell you exactly when we can be there.
We're available Monday through Sunday, 7am to 8pm. We service calls on weekends at the same rates as weekdays — there's no weekend surcharge for standard service calls.
No. We give you a 2-hour arrival window when you book, and our technician calls you 30 minutes before arrival so you're not stuck waiting. If your schedule changes, just call us and we'll adjust.
We cover Pinellas, Hillsborough, Manatee, and Pasco Counties — the entire Tampa Bay area. That includes Clearwater, St. Pete, Tampa, Brandon, Bradenton, Palmetto, New Port Richey, and all surrounding communities. See our full coverage map for details. If you're on the edge of our territory, just call — we'll let you know.
Yes. Fill out our service request form and we'll contact you within 15 minutes during business hours to confirm your appointment. For same-day or emergency service, calling us directly at (813) 900-3472 is the fastest option.
Pricing & Estimates
We charge a diagnostic fee for the service call, which covers travel and the time to diagnose the problem. This fee is applied toward the cost of the repair if you proceed. We'll quote you the diagnostic fee when you book. We don't believe in hidden charges.
Yes, always. After diagnosing the problem, our technician will walk you through exactly what needs to be fixed and give you a clear written estimate. No work is started without your approval. There's no pressure — if you decide not to proceed, you only pay the diagnostic fee.
We'll give you an honest answer. A general rule: if the repair cost is less than 50% of the replacement cost and the appliance is less than 8–10 years old, repair usually makes sense. We'll tell you what we find and give you our honest recommendation — we don't benefit from pointing you toward unnecessary repairs.
Standard service calls are priced the same Monday through Sunday. True emergency calls outside normal hours may carry an additional fee, which we'll always disclose upfront before you commit to anything.
We accept cash, check, and all major credit/debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. We can also accept payment via Venmo or Zelle. Payment is collected at the time of service.
Repairs & Parts
Our trucks are stocked with the most common parts for all major brands. Most repairs are completed in a single visit. For less common parts, we can typically source them within 1–2 business days and return promptly to complete the repair.
We use OEM parts whenever possible, especially for major components like compressors, motors, and control boards. For some repairs, high-quality aftermarket parts are used — we'll always tell you which you're getting, and why.
Our repairs are guaranteed. If the same problem returns within the warranty period, we come back and fix it at no charge. See our warranty section below for specific terms. We stand behind our work — period.
Yes. Our technicians are trained on the error code systems for all major brands — Samsung, LG, GE, Whirlpool, Frigidaire, and more. Tell us the error code when you call and we'll have a good idea of what's happening before we arrive.
Yes, we service luxury and high-end brands including Sub-Zero, Wolf, Viking, Thermador, and Miele. These appliances often require specialized parts and techniques — call us first and we'll confirm whether we're the right fit for your specific model.
Appliances We Service
We repair refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, dishwashers, stoves, ovens, ranges, and microwaves — all major brands, gas and electric. We also service wine coolers and beverage refrigerators. We do not service HVAC systems, built-in coffee makers, or small countertop appliances.
Yes. Our technicians are licensed for gas appliance repair in Florida. We service gas ranges, gas ovens, and gas dryers. If you smell gas, evacuate immediately, do not use any electrical switches, and call 911 or your gas provider first — then call us once you're safe.
We work on appliances of all ages. For older units, parts availability can be a factor — we'll check before recommending repair. Sometimes an older appliance can run another 5–10 years with the right fix; other times, the age and condition make replacement the better call. We'll give you our honest assessment.
Our primary focus is residential appliance repair. We do work on some light commercial units — laundry appliances, refrigerators, and dishwashers in small offices, Airbnb properties, and small businesses. Call us to discuss your specific unit and we'll let you know if we can help.
Warranties & Guarantees
Yes. All parts are warranted for 90 days, and labor is warranted for 30 days from the date of service. If the same problem returns within those periods due to a defective part or our workmanship, we come back and correct it at no charge. Your technician will give you a written copy of the warranty terms after each service.
Simple: if you're not satisfied, call us. We've been doing this for over 20 years on the strength of our reputation. If something isn't right after we've been to your home, we'll make it right. No runaround, no excuses.
If your appliance is still under manufacturer's warranty, you may want to contact the manufacturer directly — some warranties require their authorized service network. Let us know when you call and we'll help you figure out the best path. We won't charge you for advice.
